Our hand-loomed, hand-made bags are artisanal products in the truest sense of the word. Made of fibers colored with natural vegetable-dyes in the Andean highlands, each piece of fabric that goes into our bags is unique. Small batch runs mean slight variances in color/pattern and an authentic, traditional product.
The designs are inspired by fabric colors found early in the morning at Saturday markets, as well as by Barbara’s input and sensibilities. The artists construct the bags by hand in their home workshop with a care and attention to detail that make each bag unique.
To make the buttons, Peter’s father presses clay into molds of his own creation in the shapes of ancient gods and warriors. He fires them in the kiln he’s built in their home.
Our bags are creations of the highest quality, made with creativity, a sense of history, and mutual respect and collaboration.
